Our approach to Twitter
Our twitter account is managed by our Press Office. We may occasionally use some automation tool but aim for this to not dominate the tweets we post.
If you’re following us, here’s what to expect:
- Between 1-10 tweets a day, depending on how much is going on in environmental health
- Alerts about new content on our other digital channels
- Updates about what we're up to
- Occasional live coverage of events, Twitter interviews with key influencers and Q&As
- Last minute announcements, promotions and event offers
- General chat and debate.
If you follow us on twitter, we may not follow you back. This is to help you easily identify other key twitter users that we think are relevant to our industry and the environmental health profession. Being followed by us does not imply endorsement of any kind.
We mostly update and monitor our twitter account during office hours. Twitter may occasionally be unavailable and we accept no responsibility for lack of service due to Twitter downtime.
Direct Messages and @Replies / Mentions
We welcome feedback and ideas from all our followers, and join the conversation where possible. However as much we’d love to, we are not able to reply individually to all the messages or mentions we receive via twitter. We endeavour to read all @replies and direct messages, plus ensure any questions or helpful suggestions are passed to the right person or department.
